Operating theatres

At Southill Vets, we have invested in excellent surgical facilities to provide the very best care to your pet, here at our Wincanton and Gillingham sites*. Our fully equipped operating theatres have state-of-the-art anaesthetic monitoring machines, and our highly skilled anaesthetists use the safest anaesthetic protocols designed specifically for each species.

Your pet will be monitored closely by our fully qualified Veterinary Nurses throughout their procedure to ensure they are as comfortable as they can be whilst in surgery. We also have an extensive range of medication on-site should any be needed.

Post-operative care

Following your pet’s procedure, our team will continue to closely monitor them during their recovery. When they wake up, your pet will be moved to one of our comfortable, dedicated pet wards to rest. Food and drink will be offered, and dogs will be taken outdoors to stretch their legs and go to the toilet when they’re ready.
