Full time Registered Veterinary Nurse or 2nd year SVN
We have a fantastic opportunity for a registered veterinary nurse or 2nd year Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Southill Vets. We are an independent small animal tier 2 practice with 4 branches on the Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire borders.
No two days are the same within our busy practice so this role offers a variety of duties such as assisting in the daily running and all routine operations, running nurse clinics, dispensing medications/prescriptions within our dedicated team of nurses. We are very proud of our nurses and the incredible work they carry out within the practice, allowing nurses to do what they are trained to do.
The full time hours are 37.5 hours across 4.5 days per week. We provide our clients with our own out of hours service so this role will require the applicant to be on this on call rota, currently this is a 1 in 5 rota. All on call is paid in addition to the salary and will alter depending upon the time of day/night you are called out. Therefore the applicant will be paid for all work carried out. Salary is dependent on experience.
As a practice we pride ourselves on an open and honest environment where the team can share their ideas and make suggestions of how to improve our services, procedures and work/home life balance. Over the last few years the practice has expanded and developed dramatically providing nurses the ability to grow and develop their skills. We support flexibility and diversity in the workplace.
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from – Work-life balance, 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing holiday allowance based on length of service, CPD allowance with 24 hours paid pro rata, VDS cover, RCVS fees
