At Southill Vets, we are proud to partner with Rata Veterinary Surgery to bring expert orthopaedic care directly to your veterinary practice. Clare and Kalin, from Rata which was established in 2011, offer a mobile surgical service across the South West, Midlands, and London areas.

About Clare:
Clare graduated from Massey University, New Zealand, in 1999 and gained her RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2009. She now resides in Cornwall with her husband, their dog Dave, cat Madge and a herd of pet dairy cows!
About Kalin:
Kalin works alongside Clare. He graduated with a master’s degree from Bulgaria in 2018 and has always had a passion for surgery. After completing an internship, he began pursuing a certificate in Small Animal Surgery.
Both Clare and Kalin provide consultations and surgeries in the familiar setting of your own veterinary practice, ensuring a comfortable experience for your pet.
How does it work?
If your vet recommends a referral, they will send Rata Vets a referral form detailing your pet’s condition. Clare or Kalin will review the case and offer guidance, which could involve a consultation or scheduling a surgery.
What does it cost?
Costs will vary depending on the procedure. Your vet will inform you of the fee after receiving Clare or Kalin’s recommendations.
How is an appointment or surgery scheduled?
Rata’s administration team will coordinate with Southill Vets to arrange a convenient time.
