Richard Gale MRCVS

Richard qualified from Cambridge University in 1995. Having started his veterinary career in Cornwall, Richard first  joined Southill Vets in 1998.  Richard left Southill Vets briefly to pursue an interest in Veterinary Cardiology, gaining a Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in the process. Richard rejoined Southill Vets as a partner in 2005 and is helping to develop the excellent facilities and services available to our Companion Animal clients.  He is currently studying for his certificate in small animal medicine.

Outside of the Practice, Richard spends most of his time being bossed about by his two young daughters. When allowed, he likes to play golf and listen to his music (although he usually has to make do with listening to Disney classics and nursery rhymes). Richard has a black labrador called Elvis, a cat called Harry and two gerbils (whose names  seem to change on a daily basis) .

To contact Richard please call the main Southill Vets reception number 01963 33226. If Richard is not available, reception staff will be happy to relay your message to him.

105 miles in the saddle for Richard and Jon!

Veterinary surgeons Richard Gale and Jon Highet have set themselves the challenge of cycling 105 miles around Somerset in one day of the Tour of Wessex on May 28th 2011.

It is hoped that sponsorship will help raise funds for local charities the Somerset and Dorset Animal Rescue and the Mere & Gillingham Branch of the Cats Protection League. Both charities work very hard to help sick and homeless animals return to health and find new homes in the local area.

If you would like to sponsor Richard and Jon you can do this at any of our branch surgeries or online at http://www.sponsorformsonline.co.uk/tourofwessex.asp

Birthday Celebrations at Gillingham!
Our Gillingham Surgery has just reached its third birthday. We have been really pleased with the support we have received from the local community and have had the pleasure of welcoming many new clients to the surgery.
