Lisa Hiscock - RVN - Head Nurse

I have been working at southill since 2005 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008.

I have a interest in animal physiotherapy and spend most of my spare time looking after my animals - Bray (collie cross), Woody (3 legged collie), Marble (cat), Toffee and Smirnoff (rabbits) and my 3 pygmy goats Doris, Frankie and George!

Sarah Tryhorn - RVN

I have been at Southill for nearly six years, and within that time I have trained and qualified as a veterinary nurse. I am also qualified as an assessor of student veterinary nurses at our practice.

My interests outside of work are palaeontology, socialising with my friends, and wasting money on pointless cars!

Clare Armstrong - RVN DipCABT

I have been employed by Southill since December 2007 and in that time I have trained and qualified as a veterinary nurse. One of my passions is Canine Behaviour. I have a an Advanced Diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training. Subsequently I conduct Canine Behaviour Clinics within the practice. I am also a Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor.

Animals are a major part of life my day to day life. I have a few pets such as a crazy spaniel, a cockerpoo, Italian Spinone, a three legged cat , three cats I hand reared, and a horse. In my spare time I enjoy going horse riding, walking, and I love baking.

Sam Steel - VNA

Before joining Southill I worked in a small animal practice in the centre of Cheltenham, as a veterinary nursing assistant for 2 years. I then joined Southill in September 2006, fulfilling this same role at both our Milborne Port and Gillingham branches.
I live in a small stone cottage, surrounded by countryside, which I share with my adorable siamese cat - Mishka who I've had since he was a kitten. In my spare time I enjoy countryside and coastal walking, and I would love to either have a puppy or an adult saluki in the future.

Gemma Ockendan - RVN A1

Before joining Southill Vets in Wincanton, I trained in a local Veterinary Practice for 3.5 years as a student Veterinary Nurse and qualified shortly after starting a full time position at Southill in 2003. Since then I have qualified as an assessor for student Veterinary Nurses and also gained a certificate in Pharmacy Management.
On a personal level I am married and have 2 young girls and as a result I am now working part time at our Gillingham branch. At home I currently have a fat ginger cat called Charlie and a guinea pig named Pip. I enjoy most sports and go to aerobics classes as often as I can because I also enjoy food!

Fiona Williams - RVN

I first joined Southill in 1995 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1998. I enjoy all the nursing aspects of the job but have a particular interest in anaesthesia and laboratory work.

Away from work I enjoy spending quality time with my two children, riding my motorbike and socialising with friends.

Kelly Turner - RVN

I joined southill in 2011. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005 and have previously worked at two other practices in Gillingham and Yeovil. I have a particular interest in running veterinary nurse clinics and have trained as a Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor. I currently have two pets Arnie the guinea pig and Humphrey the cat.
